Direct Admissions to the Hospital

Your Primary Care Physician may want to directly admit you to the hospital from his/her office. When you are directly admitted to the hospital, you may be able to avoid possible delays and costs associated with a visit to the Emergency Department. 

If you are directly admitted to North Kansas City Hospital, you can utilize the valet service to park your car which will allow you to quickly enter the admissions process at the ground floor of the Pavilion. From there, you will be taken to the Admitting and Assessment Unit (AAU). The AAU is open between 9am and 9pm Monday through Friday.

Not all patients are candidates for a direct admission. Your Primary Care Physician will determine if you are a candidate for direct admission or if you need to be seen in the Emergency Department.
